I am a Canadian, civilian-trained physician assistant who loves working with surgical patients. As a physician assistant, one is constantly learning and improving their clinical skills. I am excited (aka. slightly overwhelmed) to grow in this new surgical position and am happy to share my learning with other medical professionals.
As a recent addition to the head and neck surgical team at the University of Alberta, I am the luckiest physician assistant in the world with an hour of specialty-based teaching before my day on the ward begins! In this podcast, I review and summarize what I have learned so far in this surgical specialty. At the end of each episode, I give you the opportunity to recall the information in a quiz-like format to test your learning and improve retention. Check out the pages on this blog for the downloadable infographic summary show notes to enhance your auditory learning!
